From Local Crews to Design in the fields of Theatre, Live Entertainment, Themed Environments and Corporate Events, Robert R. Vollmuth brings to any employer a wealth of knowledge in Rigging, Pyrotechnics, Technical Direction, Lighting, and Management. Additionally, he demonstrates skill in the layout and execution of designs; and the hiring, training and managing of various crews.

 

 

With over 50 productions in a Technical capacity, Robert has run the gamut from Carpenter through Designer. Recent Highlights include: California State Summer School for the Arts '96-'98, The International Alliance for Women in Music Conference '97, the Ahmanson Theatre '95 Gala Re-Opening Dedication, the Retrofit of The Walt Disney Modular Theatre '97 as well as work with Dorothy Hamill's Ice Capades, Six Flags California's Batman Stunt Show '94, and Lexington Scenery '95 which included the Universal Studios Jurassic Park The Ride and WaterWorld Stunt Spectacular.

 

 

As Designer, Electrician or Programmer, Robert's Lighting experience has encompassed over 300 productions. He has worked for companies and organizations such as Knott’s Berry Farm Halloween Haunt 2000 – 2008, The Los Angeles Opera '96-'98,  California State Summer School for the Arts '96-'98, The Rose Bowl '96-98, Miziker & Company '95-'98, Spectrum Lighting '94-98, Paramount Parks '94-96, including Congo and Star Trek: The Experience, Baxter Pharmaceuticals, Les Brown and the Band of Renown, The USC Grand Gala Events, and Moody Ravitz Hollingsworth Lighting Design '93-'96.

 

 

With over 12 years in Pyrotechnics and over 500 productions, Highlights for Pyro include the San Deigo Big Bay Boom July 4, 2010, Knott's Berry Farm Halloween Haunt 1998 – 2007, Crystal Cathedral's Glory of Easter 2006 - 2007 & Glory of Christmas 2006 - 2007, 1998 Chinese New Year (Year of the Tiger) Hong Kong, The 1997 American Music Awards, The Los Angeles Dodgers '96-'98, The Los Angeles Galaxy '97, The Anaheim Angels '97, Knott's Berry Farm's Edison International Electroblast 2000 -2002, Edison International Electric Nights 1998-1999, Joe Cool's Nightly Blast 1996, Medieval Times 1999 - 2004, Legoland Mad Science Taking the World by Storm 2000, Texas the Musical Drama '96-'98, Stampede Professional Baseball '96-'97, High Desert Mavericks Professional Baseball '95-'98, The New Year's Gala at the Space Needle - Seattle '95-'98, and The Country Music Festival / Star Fest '95 at the LA County Fairgrounds.

 

 

Robert's experience in the Music Industry has included work for: Barbara Streisand, U2, Kenny Loggins, Motley Crue, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw and The Black Crowes. His Computer skills demonstrate a proficiency in both the Macintosh and Windows platforms, creation of technical drawings in Mini Cad / Vectorworks, and cross platform Troubleshooting.

 

 

His extensive knowledge base in Safety standards is inclusive of OSHA regulations, fire codes, safety codes for industrial machinery, rigging safety, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes and standards, and structural analysis. He has been trained as a Motion Picture Film Safety Officer and also holds cards in American Red Cross Standard First Aid and Adult CPR Certification, California Pyrotechnic Operator · Public Display - Basic Commercial License, California Special Effects · Theatrical License, California Special Effects · 3rd Class, Nevada Indoor Stage, Nevada Outdoor Aerial, Texas Pyrotechnic Operator's License, Texas Special Effects Operator's License.
